COOKIE NOTICE
Cookie Policy
This notice describes the use of cookies and other storage technologies by the LevelUp website, pursuant to Article 122 of the Italian Data Protection Code and Decision No. 231 of 10 June 2021 of the Italian data protection authority.
The website uses no profiling cookies and shares no data with advertising platforms. The only information that leaves your browser is what you choose to send through the contact form or by opening an external link.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website sends to the browser and that are stored on the device. They are used, among other things, to keep a login session, remember preferences or collect statistical and advertising information. Similar technologies, such as browser local storage (localStorage and sessionStorage), pixels and web beacons, are subject to the same rules.
Cookies fall into three categories: technical, necessary for the website to work and usable without consent; analytics, treated like technical cookies only when anonymous and not combined with other data; profiling or marketing, which always require prior, informed and revocable consent.
2. Data controller
The data controller is Ignazio Maria Macaluso, with registered office at SP79A 98, 92019 Sciacca (Agrigento), Italia, VAT number IT03068430846, reachable at info@levelupwebagency.it.
General information on the processing of personal data, purposes, legal bases and data subject rights is provided in the Privacy Policy linked in the footer.
3. Cookies and technologies used by this website
| Category | Cookies set | Consent required |
|---|---|---|
| Technical and session cookies | None | No |
| Analytics cookies, including third-party | None | No |
| Profiling or marketing cookies | None | No |
| Browser local storage (localStorage, sessionStorage) | None | No |
As of the last-updated date, the website sets no first-party or third-party cookies, uses no browser local storage and loads no analytics scripts, tracking pixels, embedded maps or videos. Every page can be read in full without any identifier being stored on the device.
The website is built with a static site generator: pages are pre-built files served as they are. There are therefore no application sessions, shopping carts, restricted areas or preferences to keep between visits.
The typefaces used for headings are hosted on this domain (public/fonts/). They were previously loaded from Google Fonts: hosting them locally removes a connection to a third-party provider that would have received the visitor's IP address. Should similar external services be reintroduced, this notice will be updated before they are activated.
4. Third-party services contacted by the site
No third-party service is contacted while simply browsing the pages. There are, however, two situations in which the browser connects to an external domain, always at the user's initiative.
- Submitting the contact form: the data entered is sent to the Web3Forms service (api.web3forms.com), which forwards it by email to the controller. The service operates from India, relies on Amazon Web Services, Cloudflare and Hetzner, and applies standard contractual clauses for transfers outside the European Economic Area. The processing is described in the Privacy Policy.
- Opening the Instagram link: the profile instagram.com/level_up_professional is reachable from a link in the footer and on the contact page. The link does not embed Meta content and sets no cookies before the click; once opened, the notice and settings of Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. apply.
The hosting provider, Cloudflare, Inc., records server logs in order to deliver the service and keep it secure: logs contain the IP address and are retained for the period stated in the Privacy Policy. Logs are not cookies and are not used to profile visitors.
5. Consent and preference management
Because the website sets no cookies or identifiers requiring prior consent, no banner is displayed. The “Cookie settings” entry in the footer allows preferences to be reopened should consent-based tools be introduced in the future; until then it leads to this notice.
If analytics or marketing cookies are activated in the future, consent will be collected before they are set, through a banner that allows accepting, rejecting or selecting individual categories with equal ease, and consent may be withdrawn at any time from the same menu entry. Refusal will not restrict access to the pages.
Simply continuing to browse does not constitute consent. Profiling cookies based on scrolling or time spent on the page are therefore excluded, in line with the Italian authority's guidance.
6. How to delete or block cookies in your browser
Even though this website sets no cookies, you can manage your browser's general preferences. Settings are usually found under “Privacy” or “Security” in the browser menu.
- Google Chrome: Settings › Privacy and security › Cookies and other site data.
- Mozilla Firefox: Settings › Privacy & Security › Cookies and Site Data.
- Microsoft Edge: Settings › Cookies and site permissions › Manage and delete cookies.
- Safari (macOS and iOS): Settings › Privacy › Manage Website Data.
- Opera: Settings › Privacy › Cookies and other site data.
You can also browse in private or incognito mode: data collected during the session is deleted when it ends. Blocking cookies indiscriminately may prevent other websites from working correctly, but does not affect browsing this site, which does not use them.
7. Changes to this cookie policy
This notice is current as of the date shown at the top. Any changes will be published on this page; if they involve the introduction of new cookies or tracking tools, a new consent banner will accompany them where required by law.
